i am more than a husband.
i am more than a dad.
i am more than a son.
i am more than a son-in-law.
i am more than a friend.

i am more than an editor.
i am more than a project manager.
i am more than “the go-to guy” for getting something done.
i am more than a co-worker.

i am more than my past work experiences.
i am more than my past accomplishments.
i am more than my past failures.
i am more than my current accomplishments.
i am more than my current failures.

i am more than a retweet.
i am more than a like.
i am more than a comment.
i am more than a blog stat.

i am more than my scars.
i am more than my tears.
i am more than my joys.

i am more than a writer.
i am more than my creativity.
i am more than my athletic inability.
i am more than my fix-it inability.
i am more than my organizational skills.
i am more than the guy who cleans the dishes or does the laundry.

i am more than a follower of Christ.
i am a child of the living God.
i am someone who God saw in my mother’s womb, and knit together.

i am someone who He watched over every single day of my life.
someone He has loved.
someone He has cried over.
someone He has danced over.
someone He has called out to every single day.
someone who has ignored Him.
but someone He has never let go of.

i am more than flesh and bone.
and nothing i do, nothing i say, nothing i accomplish can make any more than i already am.

i am more—because of Jesus Christ.
